Thank You To My Wonderful Partner For Making Our Dreams Come True, No Matter How Crazy They Sound!!!We Love You Like the Trees Love the Wind!
We Love E-Bikes
We have gone and seen so many places we would never seen without our E-bikes. We don‘t have the most expensive or the nicest E-bikes. We got them on Amazon for about $600 dollars each. They have smaller wheels which keep impressing me on dirt and gravel trails. They do far better than I ever could have imagined. They take us 20-25 miles on 1 charge and they not only fold up small enough to fit easy in our van, but they also can plug in and charge in the outlet provided in our van. I Love zooming past all the pay booths. Most places don’t charge for entry on bikes. I also love checking out all the paths and roads I would never go down if my legs were doing all the work.
Yosemite In The Spring
Vernal Fall
Reaching the top of the 600 stairs at Vernal Falls was a Family Glory Moment. With Misty Rainbows and a all downhill trek back. The beautiful walk makes the 3 mile round-trip hike not feel toooo long. We Love Vernal Falls. We wish we would have got an earlier start so we could have stayed longer.
Yosemite Falls
We Love Yosemite falls. Parking a couple hundred feet from any waterfall and strolling down a paved path not even a mile to an amazing waterfall makes for a great day. You don’t even have to walk all the way down the path to start seeing the greatness of the falls. Allow the walk is worth it with a picturess bridge and beautiful granite bolders. I have however been in drought year summers were there is no falls to be seen.
The story goes something like in his youth to push his boundaries John Muir would hike to the top of Yosemite Falls and go to the furthest edge and peer over. Reminding me even John Muir might have made poor decision in his younger age. Ha ha
Bodega Bay In March
Bodega Head
One of my favorite sunset spots in Bodega Bay.
Best Clam Chowder
Spud Point Crab Company. 1910 Westshore Rd. Bodega Bay, Ca, 94923. I have tried every place that serves Clam Chowder in Bodega Bay, and many more places from Oregon to Santa Cruz, and Spuds is my favorite. Second favorite goes surprisingly to The Beacon in South Lake Tahoe, Ca. They also have some of the best calamari. Third place goes to Nick’s Rockaway in Pacifica, Ca.
Bodega Head
Just up the hill from Spuds, Bodega Head is also my favorite spot to eat Chowder
Catch Crab
Early Nov through late June is Dungeness Crab season on Sonoma coast. Grab your fishing license and a pole or pot, and catch some Crab.
Beach Fort Heaven
Santa Cruz In April
Samuel P.Taylor In May
We Love the Redwoods anytime of year, but May was ideal. Great weather, not too hot, not too cold, great trail riding weather. We brought our E-bikes along and rode for 2 days, and did not get bored. So much to do close by. Food, Beach, City Trek, Elk Viewing, Fishing, Surfing, and the list goes on and on.
Good Thing I Took My Grandmas Advise
Leave the TV watching to all the rest I’m going to continue to do what I do best to see whatever is supposed to seen from Maine to San Diego just going to wander back and forth, I have already gone to Key West and left old Ketchikan going to keep going fast and free hoping to see a lot more before the Grim Reaper gets me when I finally get too old to keep wondering like that and I’ll turn on the TV set in my rocker and maybe even tat meanwhile when I pass by I’ll stop and talk to while we’re just maybe half wave on the side and send you a little smile you know that I’m liking all I see if I couldn’t travel I just want to be me.
